Generations of readers have adored Anne of Green Gables, and now you can see the classic story come to life in this musical adaptation. The Cuthberts expect to adopt a boy, but receive, instead, a red-haired, wide-eyed orphan girl. Though clever young Anne Shirley has a penchant for getting into trouble, she works her way into the hearts of her adoptive parents as well as the residents of rural Prince Edward Island. It’s a heartwarming story for the whole family.
Recommendation: Wonderful for the entire family, ages 4 and up.

I can honestly say this was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. So much talent, so much emotion. I’m a huge fan of the book and the movie and was not expecting the play to live up to either of those. But it did!! All of the actors were amazing and gave a wonderful performance. I wish I could see it again. I absolutely loved it.

The actors were excellent and appropriately cast, and according to my brother who attended with me, and who directed theater at a Wisconsin University and also at the Minneapolis Guthrie Theater, the Director’s leadership was evident in the flow and consistency of the performance. I concur with that opinion, as well.

I truly enjoyed the performance. I had a bad day, but I found myself swept away in the story and my mind feeling light and happy. The acting was superb, much better than expected. Everyone is so talented, but the actress who played Anne was excellent. This is my second show here and I also really enjoyed it. Everyone involved, from the ticket person to the bartender are great. Fantastic time!

Anne of Green Gables was a wonderful play. We had seen it a number of years ago at Chance Theater, but this was the best of many other plays. Emily was absolutely fantastic as Anne. Do not miss this play.

We heard about the play by chance via social media, I had never heard of your theater. I was very excited to find an Anne of Green Gables play as I loved the movie growing up. Not know what to expect I bought tickets. My friend, her daughter, and I loved our experience and the show. Everyone was so talented! We will for sure keep our eye on your shows and be there again in the future!
