Artist Profile

Steve Marvel’s stage work includes appearances throughout the US, Canada, and Europe in roles ranging from Tesman in Hedda Gabler (Aurora Theatre, San Francisco) to Macbeth (Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Theatre) to a stint with the renowned Reduced Shakespeare Company. On screen, Steve currently stars in the festival-bound feature Chompy and the Girls and streaming service Passionflix’s adaptation of runaway Romance bestseller Hollywood Dirt. Short film fans will recognize Steve as the eccentric art dealer opposite Angus Macfadyen in director Harry Lennix’s The Gleaner.

Steve’s active voiceover work includes a host of video games for Sony, Activision, & Mattel, for whose Barbie series Steve created the beloved Azul, the talking peacock. His regular audiobook narrations include titles for major publishers Audible, Tantor, Blackstone, and Macmillan, in whose blockbuster The Fifty-Year Mission 2-volume history of Star Trek he voices the words of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.

Hailing originally from the Midwest, Steve received a diploma in Theatre and Voice from the Interlochen Arts Academy and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s renowned Acting program.
