Artist Profile
Alexandra Hellquist is a multi-ethnic, international mutt of mystery and self-avowed weirdo who loves the naked earnestness, beautiful absurdity, LOVE, and hope-in-heartbreak of Adam Szymkowicz’s works. Currently based in LA, she wanders the city with her heart exploding shards of itself all over the place, but ultimately growing back (a little bigger each time). She’s beyond excited to collaborate with Chance Theater in this cross-continental endeavor, and is super grateful they took a chance on her for Stardust. Favorite theatre roles include Pen in bled for the household truth (Rogue Machine), Desdemona/Bianca in Othello (Griot), swinging furiously in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Greenway Court), Girl in The Hot L Baltimore (T. Schreiber) and, of course, debuting Jessica in Adam Szymkowicz’s The Why Overhead (Zootopia). Favorite film roles include Sophie in Sole Proprietor (Insurgent Pictures).
